sovietwatches

Soviet watch enthusiast.

At the end of the 80’s when I was a student I met a guy from the CCCP who needed help in Spain, I hosted him up for a night in my student flat, the next day as he needed money he offered me a watch and a Zenith camara,  then I bought them for him. I wore the watch daily and took amazing photos with the camera, soon I discovered that they were built to last,  and that the simplest is the best.
Unfortunately, the watch was lost when I graduated.
With the Internet use, I started collecting watches and tried to find the student watch, but the watches I was finding were not the same as the one I had….
In my research I found many watches of an exclusive design from a country that no longer exists. Sometimes, by observing them, it is possible to discover the history and particular stories.

I travelled virtually,  far away to unusual places. And most importantly ,  I established a community of friends whom I admire deeply,  and who have helped me, I don’t want to name anyone in particular, because I’m afraid not to mention them all, you  will see my frank smile , then you will understand  that I am thinking of you.

There have also been sad parts such as the current and heartbreaking war, in which only the innocent suffers

I invite to all of you to see my particular vision of Soviet watchmaking. All the watches shown belong to my collection, and the articles have been written by myself.
I hope you find it interesting.

Thanks for coming

Sebastian.
